So the new year is here and we’re back and bright with copyright.

Marksta app – fighting for photography copyright
Some of you may recall an earlier post of mine where I talked about how putting your name/email/website on your work can help people know who to come to for permission to use it if they see it somewhere on the web- well, this journalist and photographer had that problem and has come up with an app to make doing that child’s play. A really interesting post that looks at how a judgement was made on whether a photo based on another photo was an infringement or not. (Citizen Media Law Project 10/01/13)
