The University has satisfactorily completed the Screenrights copyright survey. Congratulations and thanks to all the staff who participated. We have received official confirmation from Nielsen that our response rate was satisfactory, and as such the survey is now considered finished.
The survey is an important compliance requirement for the University and represents a significant workload for the Copyright Office. The survey period covers six weeks, but the Copyright Office has been preparing for and administering the survey for the previous six months. We have responded to 125 survey related queries during May, June and July. The survey webpages received 573 hits during March-July.
It would not have been possible to complete the survey without the assistance and support of the departmental survey coordinators. During the survey, they played an important role of local survey expert and liaison with the Copyright Office. For most of them, acting as coordinator was an additional task on top of an already full workload and I would like to thank them for their hard work.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank the coordinators of the 3 Central Audio Units (CAVs) located within the Library and Learning Environments who reported on broadcast material recorded and made available centrally through the repository and streaming server.
