Do you know everything there is to know about research skills? Everyone has an opportunity to improve these skills with Researcher@Library Week and the Extreme Experts Expo.
At the end of October the University Library will be offering a program of talks, information sessions, tours, keynote presentations and other activities geared toward supporting researchers and graduate students achieve their research objectives. Researcher@Library week will run from 26th-30th October. As part of this exciting event, the Copyright Office will be delivering a session on Ethics, Integrity and Copyright in conjunction with the Office of Research Ethics on Friday 30th October. In this session, we’ll be covering issues relating to integrity and accountability in your research, as well as your rights and responsibilities as a copyright owner. We will also be attending E3 – the Extreme Experts Expo on Thursday 29th October, 2.00-4.00. During the expo, you are welcome to drop in to visit us and ask all your curly copyright questions. For those of you may not be able to attend our events, we will be blogging throughout October leading up to Researcher@Library week . We will cover a range of topics including copyright ownership in your research and your rights as an author, the importance of understanding your publishing agreements, how to use third party copyright material in your research compliantly, and how to protect your research work.
