Last year it was announced that the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) would be making an inquiry into the Copyright Act. On the 30 of March this year the Attorney-General released draft Terms of Reference to be made available for public comment.
The terms of reference acknowledge that there is a need to focus on the copyright issues that surround our rapidly changing digital environment and looking at what changes should be made to improve the balance of rights between creators and users in the digital world.
These are the releases provided by the Attorney-General’s Department and the ALRC.
